1. Describe practices that are culturally responsive
2. Identify appropriate environments and instructional strategies to support dual language learners
3. Identify ways to engage families in their children’s learning
4. Identify QRIS standards that are related to cultural responsiveness
5. Assess their practices for cultural responsiveness and set a goal for growth in this area

Competencies
FCP 4.1. Identifies and celebrates the diversity that exists in language, culture, abilities, socioeconomic level, faith traditions, family structure, and individual differences within the classroom. 
PPD 5.1 Describes state and national standards that promote quality (e.g. Quality Rating and Improvement Systems, NAEYC Accreditation of Programs for Young Children).
